about

Both Nonsense A and Nonsense B cd’s are purely vocal with no words. The pieces all have their own flavour, Whole tone, Pentatonic, fast and like a matrix of pitches, long and restful. The aim of this album was to create rhythmic, non-contextual clear melodies and harmonies which interweave and develop gently. This CD has often been said to calm stressful moods and help people get to sleep. The beauty of the non-contextual voice come through to soothe and allow you to think whatever you want, whether it be an aid to meditation or a focusing tool for concentration.

Track Name: Goodbye Beautiful Oak
There are no discernible words, other than those you might find yourself.

As for the title "Goodbye Beautiful Oak" The week I sang this, my mum and dad moved out of the family home where i lived and had gone back to since i was 8 years old. I loved the trees there, especially this Oak which was over 500 years old, it had an enormous burr on the side and when I was little i can remember climbing up and down into a massive hole in the centre of the tree, long since filled in to prevent the tree from water damage. I was so sad to think i may never see them again, but they are still so vivid, i can't imagine forgetting them.
Track Name: A Field of Nymphs
None.

It was late Spring and warmth in the air, flowers and GREEN.... Had just visited a beautiful spot in the countryside.
